Gisela Paucar
Founding partner
Gisela leads the firm and takes the evictions and fair housing cases. She takes Spanish-language calls and meetings herself.
Gisela grew up in Queens in a family that rented, and she has worked as a tenant's lawyer since she was admitted. She started Kissena Law so that someone who gets a notice can talk to a lawyer in their own language before the dates run out.
She keeps a short list of questions she asks on every first call: what is on the paper, what is the date, who lives in the home. Most of the time the answers show what to do first.
